Ana de Armas has acted in several action films over her brief career. De Armas isn't scared to fight, from car chases in Knives Out to gunfights in Blade Runner 2049. We get a peek inside her preparation for her roles in new rehearsal footage from No Time To Die.

De Armas' portrayal as Paloma, a Cuban spy who aids James Bond, was one of the highlights of No Time To Die. She managed to break the paradigm of what it means to be a woman in a Bond film while not having a lot of screen time. She was also, obviously, plastered all over the movie's promotional materials.

Any action movie requires a lot of preparation, and a Bond film is no exception. Everyone must be in excellent physical shape and must learn to fight. De Armas is presently filming Ghosted with Chris Evans, a frequent collaborator. Who knows what to expect because the plot is kept under wraps. "I had so much fun with Paloma tho!" De Armas writes, despite her dissatisfaction with the "sleepy, cold rainy nights." De Armas discussed the difficulties of training in an interview with Variety. "I only had three weeks of training," she told the director, "and I said it so many times that he said, 'Say it in the movie.'" It became a sweet character moment.

De Armas appreciated the battle scenes despite the rough preparation. "Action films are not my strong suit, but it was satisfying to try something different, something that might surprise you." She likes character study to action, although she's willing to perform more punching and kicking if necessary.

What Will Be Her Next Steps?

You won't have to wait long to see de Armas on the big screen once more. You may recall that in 2019, she dated Ben Affleck if you have a good memory. Deep Water, the film they collaborated on, will be released on Hulu on March 18. They haven't done a press tour together, even though they appear to be on good terms.

De Armas is also in high demand, unlike a few others. She'll also be seen in the action film The Gray Man and the Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde, in addition to Ghosted. Knives Out 2 does not appear to include her in it. Hopefully, Marta will reappear in a future sequel, allowing us to see her alongside Detective Blanc once more.
